Application Fee

The examination fee is Nil. Candidates should not pay any unofficial person, agent or website for securing an appointment. The High Court states that recruitment is purely on merit.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of a Written-cum-Skill Test followed by Viva Voce and verification of original documents/testimonials. The Written Examination carries 25 marks with a minimum qualifying mark of 10. It contains 25 objective multiple-choice questions covering Windows and Linux basics, networking, PDF/document handling, video conferencing, hardware troubleshooting and internet basics.

The Skill Test carries 25 marks with a minimum qualifying mark of 10. It tests practical computer abilities such as scanning and OCR conversion, PDF-to-OCR conversion, LibreOffice handling, local-area-network/IP configuration, hardware troubleshooting and driver installation. Candidates are shortlisted for Viva Voce in a 1:3 ratio based on Written-cum-Skill Test merit among qualified candidates. Viva Voce carries 50 marks with 20 as the minimum qualifying mark. Final selection is based on the combined marks. Where candidates obtain equal marks, the older candidate is placed higher in merit.

The Written-cum-Skill Test and Viva Voce will be conducted at the Principal District Court campus of the district concerned or another place notified by that District Court. Requests to change the venue will not be accepted. Selected candidates will be posted in e-Sewa Kendras in the district for which they applied.
