Category allocation will follow the prevailing apprenticeship rules. The Director can increase, reduce or withdraw the tentative vacancies.
Only recent regular graduates qualify
Applicants must be Indian nationals and at least 18 years old. The relevant qualifying examination must have been completed during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026.
The qualification must come from a recognised university or board. Candidates awaiting their final result on the closing date are not eligible.
The advertisement also excludes candidates with a higher qualification than the prescribed one. Only regular-mode graduates can apply.[2]
Anyone who already completed apprenticeship training cannot apply. The same restriction covers current apprentices and candidates with at least one year of post-qualification work experience.
HEMRL can choose more than one selection method
HEMRL may shortlist through academic merit, a written test, an interview, a walk-in interview or a combination. Document verification remains mandatory.
The one-year training pays ₹15,000 each month. The advertisement states that apprenticeship does not create a claim to permanent, temporary or contractual employment at HEMRL or DRDO.
Register on NATS, then send the offline form
- Register or update the candidate profile on the NATS 2.0 portal.
- Download the advertisement and application form from DRDO.
- Complete the form in capital letters and attach the requested documents.
- Check the qualification year, marks, category and contact details.
- Send the packet to the Director, HEMRL, Sutarwadi, Pashan, Pune 411021.
The application should be marked for the attention of HRD, HEMRL, Pune. Late, incomplete or incorrect forms can be rejected.
